Colleges Are Still Giving Lots Of Financial AID Even In Turbulent Times!!

In our workshops and when I meet with clients I always try to teach them that colleges really need to fill seats with paying customers! Otherwise, the college may have to shut down and fire professors or cut programs. That is why when we are picking colleges we have to keep in mind, is this the right college for me? You see if one picks a college where he/she is in the top 25% on the incoming freshman they will get even more free money from the school(s). Additionally, if you can get the rest of the process done correctly and on-time while making your parents appear poor you can literally pick-up thousands of dollars of free money for college! You may be able to even attend for the cost of a junior college or for the cost of a local Cal-State College. Here is an article published by the NYTimes talking about why college's are handing out more free money this year, even while in the middle of a deep recession. Till next time and remember you can fill out the FAFSA for free but it may cost you too much money in mistakes!! Rather have a professional walk you through all the steps and help you avoid the land mines!!! Always seek out a Certified College Planning Specialist for your questions on Financial Aid and College.

These are aid awards that you do not have to pay back. These are the preferred types of money to get from a college. Although on some scholarships you may have an obligation to the organization who gave you the money. Now you also have two distinct classes. You have those that are awarded from and by the school through the financial aid system. Secondly, you have the grants and scholarships that require essays to win. They can be very difficult to win, but can definitely be worth the work. You can go to sites like:

For years we have been looking for a way to help our clients win more scholarships. About 2 years ago I found one of the best scholarship programs on how to win and what you have to do to really win massive amounts of money for college. What most people don't know is that there really is a process to win these scholarships and most people don't realize this. We are going to be posting and updating our site to include the ONLY scholarship program where students actually win lots of money.

Many families think they make too much and they should not try for financial aid. Let me tell you this thinking can cost you lots of $$$$$. Now if your family just inherited 1 million dollars I would have to say that you may not want to file the FAFSA for at least 1 year. So you pay the first year and you better talk to a Certified College Planning Specialists like us,…or you will over pay the next 3 years of college. Lets get back to the topic of too much income… if you do not apply for the FAFSA you have no chance of getting aid from the federal & State and maybe even the school. What most parents don't understand is that if you pick your schools right and get the forms done before everyone else and correctly. You might receive more money than you think! Believe it or not by understanding how the schools award money you can position your family to get money even if your income is above 150k. We have helped families with income in the range of 200k-600k get substantial money from private colleges.
